Latvian Information Technologies Cluster - Your Partner for Innovations!
The Latvian IT Cluster, a consortium of leading ICT companies, electronic equipment manufacturers and R&D institutions, was established in 2001 with the primary goal of furthering the development of innovative IT solutions and products. It owes much of its sustained success since to its collaborative ethos and commitment to ongoing development. In today's climate the progress of technologies can no longer be considered just in the context of individual enterprises. Therefore the Cluster serves as a tool to handle joint projects between companies and R&D institutions, to facilitate joint marketing, and also to allow for the sharing of manufacturing capacities. Not only that, but it also allows Cluster participants to make better use of knowledge resources, thus facilitating development and implementation, building critical mass for joint projects of common interest, and fostering inter-sector operations so as to develop new products and services. The Cluster offers local businesses the chance to establish links with foreign partners, through which they can develop a wide range of new business skills.
